Satellite TV Offers More Than Cable
I’ve been itching to get rid of Comcast digital cable for quite a while. The issue is they give you a good deal with their bundles that include telepone, hi speed internet, and cable TV service. When you want to disconnect one of these, you lose the savings of the bundle.
But the cable television service just needs to go, as the service and quality is below average. With so much talk today about HD, there just wasn’t much selection with Charter Cable. So I began researching who else was available in my area.
I am fortunate to be one of the individuals who have a few choices. Unlike many people who can only pick from just the cable company or dish television, I have another option in this area. The phone company in this area has been upgrading their network. So there is another consideration with AT&T and their U-Verse service.
That doesn’t mean of course I won’t have the same issues. It would place me in the same situation as with the cable TV company, because phone company want me to package their TV service with high speed and voice service. If the service is good, I’ll be satisfied. Then again if the service is poor you are in the same circumstance that we all hate, being stuck with cable TV that isn’t all that great.
Some evaluations I found are pretty good on telecom TV service. Because it is new, there is always a learning curve with a service like this, and some clients share their poor reviews. Those reviews are the funny, because customers decide to write a dissertation on their bad experience and post it on the world wide web. They rail on the company like it is some giant conspiracy to make the customer unhappy, as if the company doesn’t want to make money!
Another option I am looking into is of course satellite television. Since we have four television viewers in our house, we have subscribed in the past to a premium TV package. The satellite TV choices are pretty comparable, as the Premier Direct TV package and the Dish Network Everything package are both right around $100 a month. Sure that’s fairly high for pay television, but when you make the comparison with taking your family to dinner and a show, the entertainment value is comparable.
