Let BIDIA Change Your Life

Have you ever wanted to do something but you just couldn’t for different reasons? You could be afraid of doing it. You might not have enough money or time for it. It might be something that your religion, family, job, friends, etc. might frown upon. You may even be just too lazy or too complacent to go for it.

Whatever your reason, you’re not going to go anywhere if you don’t do something about it. Eventually, you’ll only end up regretting why you didn’t do it when you had the chance. As a result, you’ll end up pining for lost opportunities and kicking yourself for not having the guts to take the leap, plunge, initiative, or however you might view it.

This is not to say that there won’t be any repercussions if you do do it. Chances are there will be sensibilities that you’ll offend, money and time you’ll have to spend and would possibly waste, and even people you might alienate. But then again, you have to realize that at any given moment, you did exactly what you wanted to do at that very second, and that is something sublimely monumental on itself. After all, you wouldn’t purposely want to do something that will hurt or destroy your life and the lives of people around you, would you? If so, you shouldn’t have any regrets for going for something that you want, something that you believe in, something that you’re passionate about.

Hence, the BIDIA philosophy. What’s that? Simply put - But I Did It Anyway. It’s how you want to give up your job to start a business that you feel will succeed with you at the helm but are hesitant because you’ve got a family to support - and doing it anyway. It’s how you’ve always wanted to bungee jump but are deathly afraid of heights - but doing it anyway. It’s how you want to ask out that girl who probably won’t say yes - and doing it anyway.

I, for one, have always wanted to start a blog that will reach out to people. I thought gaining a following would be as easy as writing a few paragraphs a few times a week and putting in a few ads and sponsors. It’s not. I did the research and there’s a hell of a lot of things that need to be done to get people to even visit the site - search engine optimization, social networking, the works. It gets even more complicated to turn visitors to regulars. It was all too daunting, too overwhelming, and I put it off as long as I can. But the idea kept nagging me, so here I am. I did have my doubts, the fear that this blog will fail miserably and that I’ll be laughed right out of cyberspace, But I Did It Anyway. But I Did It Anyway because I wanted to do it, and I believed in this project with all my heart. I believe that the BIDIA philosophy can encourage a lot of people to go for it, whatever ‘it’ might be for them.

This is a blog where I will share how BIDIA figures in day to day living, not just in my experiences, but the experiences of others who’ve done the same. Here’s hoping that you will be inspired by how BIDIA changed a lot of people’s lives all over the world. Subscribe to my RSS feed or newsletter for your weekly inspiration. Leave a comment or two to show your encouragement for others. Share your BIDIA experiences by emailing me at:
